Be their voice.

Rod Fleck, Forks, Washington City Attorney and Byron Monohan, City Mayor are more afraid of getting sued than doing the jobs they are legally supposed to do.  In all appearances, Rod Fleck chose to ignore the photographic evidence and reports provided by witnesses and his own police department for over five months, hoping the situation would go away, while the dogs suffered through another winter without heat in the metal building, and due to Forks Washington City Authorities allowing the neglect to continue, the dogs had to endure another summer without cooling.

Inside Olympic Animal Sanctuary, many of the dogs are hidden away in dark rooms without air circulation, which in high temperatures, causes an increase in humidity due to the urine soaked straw they are forced to live on.   There are dogs without access to fresh water and fresh air and spend their days inside a dark metal building, month after month, year after year.

Animal Rescue Corps made the incredible offer to the City of Forks providing a safe alternative for removal of the dogs, but, as of November 2013, Forks Authorities have continued to refuse their offer.

Please join in our effort to bring an end to their suffering and get them safely rescued and into facilities where they will be better taken care of, or forever homes, if they are deemed adoptable.

Rudy - one of the Clearwater Hounds Olympic Animal Sanctuary "rescued" in October 2010.

In October 2012, Animal Rescue Corps presented photographic evidence documenting the past and current neglect of the dogs at Olympic Animal Sanctuary to Forks, Washington Police Administrator, Rick Bart.  At that time Animal Rescue Corp made the offer to take financial and physical custody of the dogs and get them safely rescued from Olympic Animal Sanctuary.   The Forks Police Department conducted their own investigation, but instead of allowing the dogs to get the help they so desperately needed, the Forks city authorities ignored the offer ARC had presented them with. Months went by, and when it was brought into the open, Rick Bart, lied claiming the police investigation of the facility had been 6-weeks long and that basically they had found nothing wrong.

Now that the actual 2-day investigative police report and photographic information have been released, confirming, not only that the filthy conditions and animal neglect are true, but also that Chief Bart, Rod Fleck and Byron Monohan have that told repeated lies about the conditions.  They have continued to give false information to concerned people and, in appearances,  refuse to help the animals, despite evidence by their own officer proving the horrific conditions the animals are forced to live, and the health conditions of the dogs.  The Forks City Authorities also appear to be dismissing all of building and health code violations and the environmental hazards from the animal waste that is piled in front of the building and the yards, leading to contamination of Mill Creek which flows in front of the property, and is habitat and a run for salmon.

In our opinion, Steve Markwell can chose to live in filth like this...
